So thats that

So you've been and gone as now it's Monday and I'm back at work. I am really struggling today to focus on anything for long enough to complete a proper task - I think I am having having the slack cut for me a little bit and given the flexibility to ease in and stuff like that.

Hows your day going? I will be back later!

The Boredom of Smithey

So I've been thinking while I was bored. Do you reckon there is an optimum way to blow your nose?

So like short sharp blows or one long prolonged blow?

See I am wierd - the wanderings of a Hannah-Mind.

What else have I been thinking about erm... I have a swap on Swap-Bot which is called 75 Questions. And I am 5 questions short at present - the letter is supposed to be mailed by tomorrow and I am running out of time.

I have two partners and I was going to direct you to their blogs but only one of them has a blog. Her nickname is PenguinBurger and her blog is here. Take a look cos it's interesting!

I have been blogging lots on my blog and been writing lots of bits and pieces.

I watched Nim's Island yesterday and I love it! I would really like it on DVD either for Christmas or my birthday is good. (If you go on my blog - there is the trailer for it!)

(And the phone rings again!)

I'm going to go and be productive now that I have tried to shake off my procrastination!

Mum Does Know Best (or in my case My Boss)

So I was sent home from work today with my horrible cold.

After chatting to you on MSN the second time I think. I went to the Supermarket and it was raining. Finding the Pharmacy in the supermarket near work is a pain in the butt anyway but it took me like three attempts just to remember where I was going and what for.

I got capsules because I knew I'd OD or something if I had the liquid stuff.

My Mum would tell me and my brother that if we were well enough to go out to play with our friends then we were well enough for school. When I was at middle school I hated school so used to try and skive lots. Upper School was a different story. I'd help loads with the school productions and stuff so that by the first night I'd more than likely have a sore throat or a cold - or it would hit be just after when I'd slowed down.

So I knew that if I wanted to go to cell I needed to stay at work for the rest of the day. Well it got to lunchtime and having sat through a two hour meeting about personality types i really couldn't handle being at work anymore.

It took me three attempts to remember why I was stood outside the pharmacy bit. 3 attempts!!!! Thats what my Grandma would be like (she had a stroke two years ago and had short term memory loss - which isn't as bad as it used to be but she does forget stuff)

I got back to work and because the americans were there everyone was having lunch together in the canteen (other than me because i'd just been out). I asked to speak to the manager in charge of my office explained that as much I really wanted to stay for the other bits of training I needed to go home because i feel really rough and needed to stop on work stuff and go home.

He agreed and said thank you for staying this long, and that if I hadn't have asked he might have sent me home any way! (then he gave me a bar of chocolate to cheer me up! he's great, i've realised why we get on so well it's because our natural personality types are near enough exactly the same! HR Lady had put a picture up of this wheel thing and then where everyone was with their natural personality type.)

So now it's 10:12 and  I've slept like 4 hours this afternoon. I've watched The American President and My Big Fat Greek Wedding (with the commentary! because you can do that on DVD rather than video!) and now I am going to watch "Because I Said So". I might even sit here and write back to a Swap-Bot friend or start on a swap.

Now I am going to fill in a questionnaire for the lady at church - stick on the DVD, eat the rest of my Lemon Curd sandwiches and just sit here and chill.

P.S. I have two days left holiday wise I think between now and Christmas - these are your days I was planning to come up to hang out with if you were free. If that means people watching in the hospital then I will do that.

Hugs

About 20 minutes ago I went to the loo. (yeah ok not great for an opening line but listen to the rest)

There was a girl in the cubicle next to me and I could hear her crying. It tugged at me. I flushed the loo and headed for the sink then thought "What if she really needs someone at this moment in time". So I reverse and tap on the door "I know it's none of my business, but are you ok?". A choked up voice replies "Yeah I'll be ok". Now I know how many times I've said that rather than face it so I hover by the sinks and take extra time to wash my hands.

I hear the loo flush and to look less like I was hovering and more like I was actually washing my hands. She appears and I say to her, "I know it's a little wierd but a hug sometimes makes it a little better, would you like a hug?" and she says "Yes" so I give her a hug (in a true Hannah way!). She turns to me with more tears in her eyes and tells me that I'm really thoughtful and she really needed a hug.

I asked her "Was she having a bad day?" - vague enough that I'm not being notice but give opportunity to talk and she says "Yeah you could say that". I made some comment about chocolate also making problems seem smaller.

I think I rambled and faffed lol

So Toilet Girl (because I didn't ask your name and I should have!) should in some random coincidence you be reading this now that I've typed it. I'm Hannah and I work in the office next door to the canteen. If you wanna chat about your day or whatever had you in tears (I won't tell anyone), come grab me tomorrow at 12:30, come knock on the door and ask for me (I promise people in my office aren't scary) we can sit in the canteen and chat while I eat my lunch if thats ok or if you see me in the corridor we can sort another time.

Just in case

On the american website for work they have a blog and post random videos and adverts and stuff that are relevant. This one was sent round today.

At the end its like - so just in case you want to keep your hard drive in your fish tank! The hard drives also make an appearance in an episode of NCIS.

Hello.

I didn't actually post David and Henning's film there was just a link (sorry!) I can't post a box thing until he uploads to youtube and I don't know when that will be.

The plan when squiffy and now me and Chris aren't going to Alton Towers. We're doing like every free museum in London (maybe we're going to do a different capital each anniversary)
i'm going to try and send you a London postcard (I sent you an Amsterdam one didnt I?)

Anyhoo iPhone posting is ok by email but by browser its off putting - I should be able to post lots of photos but there will probably be lots of posts with only one picture and some randomness on each post. This time last year I was in Harwich having had a headache ad felt rotten all evening. Lovely! Hehe. I was shattered today I'm just a little brain mushed. I had to check the customer service email and answer the phone like as soon as it rang - I think I messed up a few times which is a little worrying but its also a learning opportunity.

Juno!!!!!!

Hallllleeeeewwww

So this time I am sat along the sofa from you. We have just got back from the cinema and now we are watching Friends with Money.

We went to the cinema to see "Juno" with Caroline. I loved it! It was soooo funny - I liked the way that people in the cinema actually laughed out loud rather than just a little snigger to themselves. I liked it because it did cover the whole abortion option but then actually went for the pro-life option - which is tres cool!!!!!

I think Chris might get annoyed that I have borrowed his laptop but it's not like he's here and needing it - does that make sense?

So adding to the list of films I would like to watch - The Bucket List, The Accidental Husband, Be Kind Rewind, 27 Dresses and The Spiderwick Chronicles to mention a few.

Be Kind Rewind has got Jack Black in it and it's directed by Michel Gondry who directed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep which I absolutely love both films.

I really liked what you said to me about being a great Mum one day - it's scary but nice lol. I think I am happy being a big sis to Alice, Em and Abi for now thats cool enough for me. I would like kids one day - I think it would be seriously cool to have a little Hannah or Chris but for now our money needs to be saved so that we can look at getting our own space.

I was thinking some more about the whole moving to Hull thing and thought - I know!!! Hannah could be our lodger of sorts then I was like woah random thinking hehe. So Bedford is cool and maybe 6-9 years down the line kids might be an option maybe. Either that of the housing market will pass out and we might be able to get a house.

I don't really know about the whole own business thing. I think it would be good and I might be able to do it but I need an idea something that I can do and that other people would like - if that makes sense. So the cards or the stationary would be good but I don't know if i've got the knack.

Pictures in a Gallery

So just before Christmas I bought a PAYG phone to use rather than my n73 - good phone good features but just wasn't working for me. Tesco have a sort of loophole that means that if you just plain don't like it you can take the mobile back with in 28 days. So earlier this week I took my phone back and exchanged for a Samsung D900i and love it. Because of the style it can look like I am reading a text rather than taking a picture - as you know I love my natural photos rather than posed. It also means that I can take more photos for the blog.

This first photo was my project for the evening. We were due to go to One:Worship at Christchurch - except that they moved the times and Chris had forgotten to let everyone know. We coulde still go but we would be late and it's not a church that you can sneak into easily. So Chris came up with the idea of creating a prayer room upstairs to be linked with Hope 08. I decided that I would draw out a map of Bedford - in the end this wasn't a viable option so I printed off about 6 maps from google and then matched them up and drew letters and created this on one of the walls. While I was doing that Rikki created this in the window so that everyone in the church could see what was going on.

This morning we had a rehearsal for Joseph and my brother was wearing this T-Shirt. I'm not the greatest fan of Family Guy and I ended up taking a photo of his shirt lol.

There's a house over the street from us - I noticed late last week that their Christmas tree was still in the window. Then I noticed it the middle of this week didn't think anything of it. It's now still there!!! It's the 20th January and their tree is still there. Thats was the random lights are in the middle of the picture lol.

I walked into town yesterday when I went to meet Yolissa, Isis Carol and Kelly. A while ago Phil told me this story about him stealing his housemates cuddly Heffalump because he was bored. I saw this sat outside the charity shop on Castle Road and took a picture to send to Phil.

The next pictures are the adventures of us in town. The first is Yolissa's Hot chocolate - it was like a work of art all it's own lol. The next picture is Yolissa and Isis taking random pictures. I didn't quite take the photo in time and Isis had moved so it went blurry. By the end of lunch I think Isis was bored and so made a ketchup heart on her plate. I was playinng with my phone as I had finished and so took a hi-speed photo of it.

I thought you might appreciate this random photo that i took on the way to town, there was a driveway which had a mini river where the water was running to teh drain - obviously a car had leaked some petrol or oil into the water and there was this pretty rainbow. (I'm listening to the BBC cover of Perfect Day - I love this song - i might post the lyrics in a sec and a link to the video - it was for an advert but I love it!)

I was brainstorming holiday ideas and this was my piece of paper. There were so many different cities, museums, monuments etc on it. There's things like the Bradenburg Gate in Berlin - it's one of the few bits of the Berlin Wall that is still standing. There's the Eiffel and the Lourve. A bit further down there's the Auschwitz Memorial and Ljiubana which is the capital of Slovenia (day trip distance to Italy or the other way round).

One of the guys at work turns 40 on Wednesday and becuase of that we had cake and lots of fun on Friday. It started about Wednesday when I spent quite alot of the afternoon cutting out bits for his birthday card. Thursday afternoon me and Abby then spend like half an hour to an hour blowing up balloons and drawing faces and phrases on them. The balloons were then hidden in the accounts office until Friday morning when Abby and Hina decorated the meeting room. Then when Pete was in the canteen me and Abby collected the balloons and sprinted (literally!) to his office across the yard in the Green barn. We emptied the bags of balloons and that was the photo i took very quickly before we ran back to teh office.

G'day

Hello Girlie

Ok so tried to watch it but the connection at work is a bit sucky so I can't watch it properly I'll wait till I get home. I have a free evening so I have plenty of time. I'm supposed to be going to the gym this evening but I really don't have the motivation after last night and this morning.

Chris was the bad guy but I did say some kinda nasty things too. Like this morning I turned round and said that if it wasn't for the ring on my finger I would be breaking up with him. I really struggle because so much of the time I am emotionally knocked about by him, it's usually like I will make a comment but I'll be wrong - now sometimes I know that like yesterday Chris started talking about local politics - as you can imagine not exactly the most exciting conversation in the world. I don't really know anything about it other than Patrick Hall is our rep for Labour, and Nikki Attenborough is some important figure.

Anyway I made some comment about not being fussed about it - tbh they all have stuff that annoys me and stuff that I don't think is right but at the moment it's not the end of the world it's not like there is an election coming up any time soon. In all honesty the Presidential Run in the States is more interesting. Theres Obama who would have his name in the history book theres then Hilary Clinton who will be the first woman president. Now I don't see anything wrong with that I think it's about time the States have a real woman president rather than it just being a very cool drama series that used to be on ABC1.

Anyhoo! Watched 20 minutes of Torchwood yesterday so that made me feel a bit better. (James Marsters who used to play Spike in Buffy The Vamp Slayer was in the episode - that made it worth watching lol)

I'm going to vamoosh now - Am waiting for Jane to come back from Sainsbury's as she's getting my lunch lol.

P.s. the title is G-day because two guys from New Zealand have just arrived - I'm not sure what their link is to the company but I know it's something to do with us hiring out our stages to them and then shipping them over to NZ.

Teardrop

Hey

So I've just finished a conversation on the phone to you because Chris is being a bit of a jerk! So much for us being good and sorted.

About two weeks ago we swapped chores so cooking is one of mine. Now as far as I knew we were going out at the same time - 8pm when we go to cell so I was about to start tea at about 7 then all of a sudden he's going out earlier.

I've left him to cook and come upstairs now. Listening to Newton Faulkner's song Dream Catch Me - I do like Teardrop (hence the title) but it was depressing me.

On at least 4 or 5 occasions over the past few months since you and the other girlies moved out of Bedford I've broken down in tears because I can't handle how lonely I feel all the time. On Saturday last week I'd had it up to the back teeth, I made some comment in the cinema and Chris turned in his chair so that his body was facing away from me but he could still see the screen, so I got up and sat in the smaller block of chairs near one of the walls. I left the cinema as soon as the titles went up and I went to the loo - Chris has this thing about staying till the end of the titles.

I need to go my battery is dying brb when i get downstairs.

Back, so I left the cinema and thought i'll start walking and won't have to talk to Chris. I got outside the cinema and he was there already so we walked together in absolute silence.

We got along the Embankment to the footpath through the park and Chris asked did I want to walk on my own, I broke down in tears and sat on the wet bench. I felt so lost and alone. I'd has a really pooey week at work just constantly being told what I was doing wrong, what I had missed out etc. The only person I can really download on is Chris or my Mum because Karen is busy looking after Abi and by the time I'm free it's teatime at their house, Caroline is still really emotionally knocked by Myles being ill or looking after Joel (Myles is getting better btw he's preached two sundays in a row which was really cool). I don't really see Ummma that much at the moment. I don't just wanna talk to them because I need someone to download onto I want to talk to them about other stuff as well - does that make sense???

Now listening to McFly (- yes I know I am taking pills for it but they don't seem to be working!), I'm supposed to be going up to York on the 7th February as Chris is doing visual stuff for a Youth event there. Thought about seeing if he could drop me off in Mansfield on the Thursday then me catch the bus or train up to York to meet him on the Friday - but I guess you will be back at work by then.

Anyhoo back to my spazz in the rain. I sat on the wet bench (I don't think it was raining at that point but it had been while we were in the cinema) I didn't know where to start about stuff,

I like my job but can't handle it when I'm told to do one thing then someone moves the goalposts - so I either have to start again or completely change the way I'm doing it.

Abby is lovely and she's really sweet but theres just not that same link if you get me. (see point 1 - i was getting confused with all the brackets!) I think you and me were meant to be friends or something, we both love craft (Point 2), both musicians (Point 3), both have our quirks that make us us and don't care about looking silly when we show them.

Back to the job, I do like it, I'm on a one year contract which is better than nothing. My probatio n period ends on the 10th ish of February and in all honesty I am worried that this "project" is like a challenge to show that I can do the job before they sack me or something. I'm on for a year contract otherwise which means this time next year I could be unemployed again.

1. When I was off work with my chest infection before Christmas I had a running commentry of random things happening. Then last weekend I texted her to apologise if I was rude to her - I was trying to do some work and it wasn't going my way she asked could she help with anything and I think I snapped at her - she told me I hadn't and I thought she was just being polite, we then had a text conversation about what we were upto over the weekend. I guess it's cool we started about the same time so we are Newbies together.

2. Well before I met you I loved Craft and sewing etc but I think a certain old friend shall we say made me feel like it was uncool - then I met you and realised actually it's the coolest thing since sliced bread.

3. I say that because I probably need both hands and both feet to count how many instruments we can play between us
Anyhoo I feel pants (WELL DONE MR J - YOU WIN AGAIN!)

P.S. Emily that I used to work with at Wickes signed in her display name is "I'm thinking....but nothings happening"

Desktop Tag

Hey girlie,

How you doing? I was tagged by Ellie at LittleWanda Crafts who had been tagged by Pockets Full of Sorrow, formerly Happy Ichigo. The idea is that you take a print screen of your desktop and post it on your blog. This was my one from work and the one below is the one from my own computer. What does yours look like?

Work DesktopMy Desktop

Here's what you do according to Happy Ichigo:
"Upload your desktop pic, you girls are super artsy people, lemme see your desktop! This is how its work..pretty easy! It's like doing a Print Screen; hit the PrtSc button on your keyboard, but instead of printing the screen, open Adobe Photoshop or Paint, then go to Edit and click Paste. Then save the file as .jpeg like you would any other image file. and whoa you're done."

since last time...

BOO!

Heya u. Since last time i wrote i have done many many things. Too much to put everything in a blog (and also i cant quite remember it all lol)

On friday i went on a trip with the primary dept to Brackenhurst college and they set up a "real" nativity... ok the real bits were the stable, the donkey, 2 sheep if you get me... i mean it was real coz it happened but they used live stock in a live setting and selected chilren played the roles of mary, joseph etc etc.
--sidetrack-- the morning was sad because we found out that someone (a parent and ex member of staff) had been found dead but was a death of "natural causes". I spoke to his estranged wife as she is a family friend and she said it was surreal but she was ok... more bothered about her 2 children!
-- back to brackenhurst-- the nativity was so amazing and tear jerking in a way. All the christmas songs that the children sang and signed. was v funny having the real animals there though... there was a sheep that took a great liking to shoes and blankets (and the trip folder) hahahahaha and there, needless to say, were a few nervous giggles and panic from some kiddies.

Saturday: I went ikea shopping with the folks and i tried to set a new bank account up but there was a v v long line and the assistant said i probably wouldnt set one up that day... hmph! I played in a concert at Turner Hall, Mansfield Woodhouse in the evening which went well. It was nice to have a soul night off work but i will miss the money hehe. I had the giggles at my conductor coz he kept sneazing and then tryin to disguise it lol.... funny when ur sat in front of him and there's a whole audience in front of me and behind him not knowing what he was doing lol. Raised about £690 for a guide dog for a lady that is blind and her dog died.

Sunday: WORK!!!!!! stags were playing football (they won - get in!) and the pub was fairly busy... early bed sunday night!

Monday (yesterday): went to school as normal... in briefing meeting was informed that one of the students had died in the early morning in hospital (God bless his family). I was quite sad about it (as expected) but somehow managed to stay strong and professional. One of my work mates wasnt in school on fri so didnt know about the other person that had died and no one had informed her over the weekend. We were having a convo about how sad it is and i mentioned that it didnt matter what age (mentioned friday) and she didnt know.... she burst out crying and came to me for a hug... I felt so so bad that i had to be the one to tell her and the fact it was a double wammy for her that i cried too... was so sad to see her like that.
The tears didnt last long and we pulled together although the head of dept came and said that if we dont deal with it we stay at home which i was v v angry about... the day people in that school lose emotion is the day when people should stay at home.... as if i havent seen the other side of the job but hey ho!!! all over. BIGGER FISH TO FRY!!!!
Last night was works *pub* christmas dinner.. i had prawn cocktail, turkey dinner and profitteroles (smithy, just for u hehe) I had a fair bit to drink but was not drunk... i was respectable. I got a camera full of pics so i will post them when they're up :D
I got home at about 11:45pm and headed for bed straight away... i was just heading off to sleep wen i heard a loud bang outside my room. I literally jumped out of bed and bec was soooo violently sick in the bathroom next to my room. Because of her broken leg she didnt quite make the loo so it was not a nice sight. She said she couldnt move so i ran downstairs (mum had dropped off down there i noticed when i got in) and woke mum up coz i knew i couldnt manage safely on my own. Mum went upstairs while i sorted out a place for bec and a drink. She came downstairs and while mum sorted the bathroom i sat with bec coz she was really ill. i finally came up to bed at 3.30am (yawn) and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow lol.

Today: i woke to the WONDERFUL (sarcasm there) sound of my alarm at 6.30am. Got ready for work and headed in.
The lady that i work with that was upset about the double wammy didnt come in today coz she's been having a hard time of late. So there was 3 staff and 4 children (only one child away today). We could normally manage but today has been one of those days where everything has gone wrong and at some point everyone of the children has been sick/ fitted or hurt themselves and theres a play to plan, 2 trips to finalise, a nativity set to make, bathrooming and feeding.... just not happenin lol.
mum took bec to drs and she's got a bug, me n mum hardly stopped since we got in from work. Dad was late home from work. we had tea, watched eastenders then i came up for a shower and bed!!!! lol

the week ahead:

Tomorrow: Pantomime (cinderella) at our local theatre. Stars Dave Benson-Philips and Gemma from cbbc amongst others (cant remember who).

Thurs: Trip to White Post Farm to see another nativity style thing *was planned before the brackenhurst trip*

Fri: "normal" day in school

Sat: Driving lesson am, Notts police officers dinner concert at Kellham Hall

Sun: work double shift Blugh!

Will fill more in when it happens.

Loads and loads of love. Kewey.xx.
